Silver Saints, London's premier handyman service, has developed a neat and effective solution to sealing the small gaps between external doors and their frames that are the primary source of cold draughts in to your home.

Draught Proofing Front and Back Doors

The process we follow is to attach a flexible profiled seal around the perimeter of the door frame. We then fit a plastic carrier containing a long brush pile to the bottom edge of the door. The end result is a door effectively sealed on all edges from cold winter draughts.

We charge an 'all in' fixed price of £99+VAT to draught proof a standard external door.

Draught Proofing French Doors

Silver Saints also has a system for draught proofing French doors and windows.

The system is similar to that used in the draught proofing of standard external doors in that we fit a flexible profiled seal around the perimeter of the frame. We then apply a specially designed seal to the edge of the doors where they meet in the middle when the doors are closed.
