Silver Saints is The Professional London Handyman Service. One of the jobs we undertake on a daily basis is the resealing of both sinks and basins.

Silicone sealant around sinks or basins often looks tired and mouldy after a few years, replacing the sealant is a straight forward job which will ensure a good joint between surfaces and neaten up the appearance of your sink or basin.

How much?

At our standard half-hourly rate expect this job to cost in between £40-£60+VAT

Choose from our ‘Peace of Mind’ fixed labour price of £45+VAT to reseal a basin or sink.

Materials for this job are usually £12+VAT and are charged in addition to the labour prices above.

What is involved?

All the old silicone will need to be completely removed, the surface cleaned and dried thoroughly and a new bead of silicone seal applied.

How long?

It is the removing of the old silicone that takes most of the time, it is vital that all the old silicone is completely removed and both surfaces are clean and dry to ensure that a good seal is obtained and that the new sealant has a good surface to stick to.

Expect resealing a sink or basin to take 30-60 minutes.

Who brings what?

We will bring all the correct tools required as well as the silicone sealant.

Our Handymen carry white sealant as stock; please let us know if you would prefer a clear or other coloured sealant.

We offer a Satisfaction Guarantee with all our work; if you are not 100% happy with the job done, the handyman will return free of charge to remedy the work.
