How much?

At our standard half-hourly rate the minimum charge is £40+VAT.  If all the blinds are made to measure expect the fitting of 1-3 blinds to cost £40-£80+VAT.

If all the blinds need to be cut to size, expect the fitting of 1-3 blinds to cost £40-£100+VAT.

Choose our ‘Peace of Mind’ fixed labour price installation:

Fit one made to measure blind - £45+VAT, add £25+VAT for each additional made to measure blind.

Cut and fit one blind - £50+VAT, add £30+VAT for each additional blind that needs to be cut and fitted.

What is involved?

With the correct tools and fittings, installing blinds is a straight forward job.

In most cases all that is needed is the mounting of the brackets in the correct position and then the blinds are attached to the brackets.

In the case of roller blinds or wooden slatted Venetian blinds, which are either off the shelf or note made to measure, you might consider buying a size larger than needed. We can trim them to ensure a good fit.

Unfortunately metal Venetian blinds, Velux and roman blinds are not possible to trim.

How long?

On average expect each blind to take 15-30 minutes to fit. However if the blinds need to be measured and cut to size the time taken to fit each blind is more likely to take between 30-45 minutes.

Who brings what?

The Handyman will arrive with a full set of tools as well as a range of screws and fixings.

All you need to supply are the blinds themselves and a stepladder or chair for our handyman to stand on if the blinds are to be fitted at height.

What else?

All our Handymen carry top of the range cordless drills as well as a large selection of fixings suitable for all types of walls, ceilings and lintels. We do however come across a few homes, where due to either the condition of the wall or the plaster it is not possible to get a good and accurate fixing where it is needed. In these cases the solution is normally to fit a wooden batten above the window to distribute the load and allow for more fixing points.

What if?

All of our jobs come with a Silver Saints Satisfaction Guarantee which means that if you are not happy with any part of the work we have done the handyman will return free of charge in order to put things right.
