London Handyman Service - How To Become A Silver Saint Handyman
Silver Saints is HIRING!
Silver Saints is London's newest professional handyman service. It is also London's most experienced. We believe our launch team is the best in the business with average experience of more than five years. Our expanding business now needs more handymen (and women) to meet growing demand.
To maintain our reputation as London's premium handyman service, we offer the following benefits:
-
A friendly and supportive operations team. We trust you to get on with the job and are there to support, not interfere.
-
A flexible working week. If you want to work for 16 hours a week, or 48 hours, or anything in-between, that's fine with us. It's quality of work rather than quantity that counts.
-
Good pay. Our handymen expect to earn £20-£25 per hour.
-
Self-employment. All our handymen are self-employed. They enjoy the flexibility this gives them, the extra control over their tax affairs, the ability to choose their own tools and transport. If you have never been self-employed before, we can tell you how to do it.
-
Varied work. No two days are the same and every job is a new customer and a new challenge.
In return, this is what we are seeking from you:
-
Excellent communication skills. You need to understand what the customer wants and agree the service you will offer.
-
Problem solving ability. Many of the tasks we do are quite straightforward, but some are not. You need to be able to assess a situation quickly and offer appropriate solutions.
-
A broad range of technical skills. We do just about anything in the home or the office. You don't need to be an expert in everything. There is some degree of specialisation in the work our handymen do and we can offer training when necessary.
-
Initiative. You need to be able to offer effective solutions. Occasionally a job is too specialised for us or not cost-effective for the customer, but we like to tell the customer how we can do the job and not offer reasons why we can't.
-
No specific working background. We have chosen to highlight the skills needed rather than any specific working background. If you think you might be a good match, give us a call or send us your CV.
-
Your own transport. All of our handymen travel on two wheels, mostly by motorbike, but one by bicycle. We have found that two wheels offer the best way of moving between jobs, but we will consider handymen who wish to use a car or van.
If you would like to join us or find out more about the work, please send your CV to fixit@silversaints.co.uk.
