What is involved?

Bath Screens are a modern and effective alternative to shower curtains when a shower is fitted over a bath tub.

A fixing plate is secured to the wall and then the bath screen is attached to the fixing plate so that the plastic sealing strip forms a watertight seal between the bathtub and the screen. A bead of silicone sealant is then run up the outside of the fixing plate in order to prevent water from penetrating between the bath screen and the wall tiles.

How long?

Expect an average bath screen installation to take between 45-90 minutes, the exact time the bath screen takes to fit depends largely on the simplicity of the screen design and how square the adjacent wall is to the bathtub.

Who brings what?

All you need is the bath screen you would like fitted. We will bring the correct tools, a drill bit suitable for drilling in to even the hardest of tiles, a selection of fixings and the silicone sealant.

How much?

At our standard half-hourly rate expect this job to cost between £60-£80+VAT.

What else?

It is normal practice to fit a shower screen directly on to tiles, so the height of the tiled section of wall above the bathtub should be at least the height of the shower screen you would like installed.

The plastic sealing strip at the bottom of the screen may wear and crack over years of use. It is always recommended to keep a note of the make and model of the shower screen as replacement sealing strips are normally available free from the manufactures. However it is vital to know exactly what make and model screen you have as these seals are not a standard design.
